Inspired by the documentary “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead”, hands down the most popular recipe is called the “Lean Mean Green Machine”.
This term was named by Joe Cross from the documentary, and countless creations of this powerful concoction proved its potency.
Prep time: 5 min
Total Time: 10 min
Serving Size: 16 oz (500 mls)
1 Tbsp of Ginger
4 Celery Stalks
6-8 Leaves of Kale
1. Wash all produce well
2. Peel the Lemon (optional)
4. Pour over Ice (optional)
How long should I stay on this juice cleanse?
In the documentary, Joe Cross went for a full 60 days which to many seems impossible.
Do you have to go for 60 days? Absolutely not, for Joe’s Reboot was conducted under medical supervision and he had a customized nutrition plan made just for him.
Instead of going for a grueling 60 days which to some could be dangerous, we recommend you chose either 3, 5, 10 or 15 day plan for your cleanse reboot.
The above plans are much more achievable and provide the impact your body needs to reboot.
Creating this juice will cost you about $10(produce cost) which makes 32oz of fresh raw juice. You can split this into 4 8oz servings and drink through out the day or all at once.
Overall, this drink has a somewhat sour and grassy taste.
This may be okay but you can always add an extra apple and lemon to sweeten the taste.
Ginger is not only extremely beneficial to your health, but it also adds quite a bit of spunk to the taste.
Too much however can make it very spicy and almost unbearable to drink.
In conclusion, your body will thank you for adding this powerful juice to your diet.
